RCMC Factsheet Jan-Dec 2024

In 2024, the Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre (RCMC) made significant strides in preserving and promoting Rohingya heritage through a series of impactful initiatives. From January to December, RCMC engaged the community with interactive activities. The Mobile RCMC and Portable Cultural Box expanded outreach, bringing Rohingya history and identity to wider audiences. Masterclasses on Rohingya calligraphy, music, and handicrafts empowered participants with traditional skills, while editorial and digital content development ensured the documentation and dissemination of Rohingya cultural narratives. RCMC also strengthened partnerships with local and international stakeholders, advocating for the inclusion of Rohingya heritage in global discussions on displaced cultures. Through exhibitions, storytelling sessions, and intergenerational learning, the centre reinforced its role as a cultural hub, sustaining the resilience and identity of the Rohingya community.
