Rohingya Cultural Memory Center (RCMC) at EHF 2025: Showcasing Heritage, Unfolding Stories.
The Rohingya Cultural Memory Centre (RCMC) is a community-led initiative under the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) programme of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) located in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. By preserving and promoting Rohingya heritage, the community is empowered to express their cultural identity, which in turn enhances their mental health and psychosocial well-being. Beyond the borders of the world’s largest refugee camp, RCMC’s World Tour brings these cultural narratives and artistic expressions to a global audience—advocating for rights, sharing stories of resilience, and fostering connections with the Rohingya diaspora.
To continue its mission of cultural preservation and global advocacy, the RCMC will join the 4th European Humanitarian Forum on 19–20 May 2025, to showcase Rohingya culture, highlight community resilience, and advocate for rights through arts and heritage. The exhibition emphasizes culture’s vital role in healing, identity, and inclusive humanitarian response, aligning with EHF goals and promoting collaboration across humanitarian, development, and peace efforts. Through its exhibition, RCMC not only amplifies the voices of the Rohingya community but also contributes to the dialogue on innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions in humanitarian settings.
Join us for a vibrant cultural showcase at the SQUARE Convention Centre in Brussels, Belgium, and experience the living heritage of the Rohingya people. Let’s celebrate their rich traditions and support their journey toward dignity and rights through cultural expression and solidarity.
