Description
?During the pandemic, I clutched onto things of my home as I could not go out. I took care of every little thing there more than ever. I kept wondering how the Rohingya artisans spend their time in shelters where there is barely any space❜, the art facilitator Shwettaj Jahan Tithi explains. ?But I found Rohingya people adorn their house with little things- colourful, cheap plastic flowers, recycled materials, pictures. They make their space home.❜ Inside my home project gives us a look into Rohingya people❜s private space and their homemaking trends. In the perplexing background of makeshift bamboo shelter, a sense of comfort come through all these 11 artworks. Shamsunnahar embroiders her daughter sleeping in her room; she misses her beautifully decorated house in Myanmar.
