Zafani mas salon is tilapia fish curry. Fish plays a vital role in the lives of Rohingya people. A significant portion of the Rohingya population in Arakan were fishmen, and fish is an everyday source of protein there. As a result, several types of fish dishes exist in the Rohingya cuisine which are eaten with rice as a staple meal. Among them zafani mas salon (tilapia fish curry) is quite popular. It is mainly cooked with potatoes, but also with other vegetables.
