Description
The Rohingya community enjoy eating a lot of fish. In Myanmar, the men would catch fish from ponds and rivers and bring them home for the women to cook with traditional herbs and spices. At the camp, they still eat fish but since it is not freshly caught like it was in Myanmar the taste is different. This project helped the women recall the fish they used to eat in Myanmar. Shamsun Nahar drew koi maas (climbing gourami fish) that can be found in canals and ponds of Myanmar. It can also be found in the camp but it was more fresh in Myanmar.
