Description
The Rohingya community enjoy eating a lot of fish. In Myanmar, the men would catch fish from ponds and rivers and bring them home for the women to cook with traditional herbs and spices. At the camp, they still eat fish but since it is not freshly caught like it was in Myanmar the taste is different. This project helped the women recall the fish they used to eat in Myanmar. Sara Khatun drew a pangash maas (yellow tail catfish). She used to catch this fish from the rivers of Myanmar and eat it but at the camps it tastes different because it is not caught from the river. She drew this fish because she likes to eat it.
