Shomjida is an embroidery artisan who learnt the art of fultola from her sister. In Arakan, she used to take orders for sewing pillow covers, scarves and handkerchiefs and with her earnings she would buy makeup and clothes. At the camp, she has contributed for the RCMC collection by stitching in various projects. Her favourite colour is purple and she is known for incorporating it in many of her pieces as well a sclothing – whether it is a burka or an umbrella.
