Description
This project was made during the COVID lockdown. Since the art facilitator could not go to the camp and supervise the Rohingya women, they were asked to document what they saw inside the house. So the women decided to document insects. Rohingya women have superstitious beliefs regarding some insects, such as they believe cockroaches bring wealth to the house they occupy so they do not kill them. Roshida drew a bhowra (weevil). These insects are commonly found in rice but roshida also saw them on flowers and trees. She likes looking at this insect which can be found in both Myanmar and Bangladesh.
