Mura kum is a stool made from bamboo cane and plastic. It is available in a range of colours and designs but cheaper plastic versions are becoming more popular in urban households. Muras are light which makes them easy to move around and they can be placed both indoors and outdoors. In Rohingya households, guests are offered muras to sit on. This type of mura has back support and are often made to order for the elderly.
