Shonghor khalot killai gelam (Why did I go down to Shonghor River) is a Hori song, performed in the Rohingya camps for the RCMC by Rohingya musician Amir Ali.

Hori songs are songs about bereavement, loss and heartbreak. They are sung to mourn a death or to commemorate a painful personal event. They are also sung by lovers who have either lost love or are experiencing unrequited love. Hori songs are almost always personal and sung in the first person.
