This is a portrait of Hosne Ara, a Rohingya embroidery artisan for the RCMC. It was painted by Farzana Ahmed Urmi, a Bangladeshi artist-in-residence for the RCMC.

Hosne Ara loves telling her experiences through her embroidery artwork. She learnt embroidery from an UNHCR training centre in Myanmar. Among the works she has done for RCMC, her favourite is Ador Lage Jiyanre (The One I Hold Dear) series, as she could portray her love for her unborn child through needlework.
