Gura fira is a rice noodle pudding, a sweet dish of small handmade rice noodles cooked in infused milk. In the Rohingya community, before morning prayers on Eid, gura fira is a must for breakfast. It is also often served to guests visiting Rohingya households. The traditional recipe calls for cinnamon sticks, bay leaves and cardamom pods to add flavour to the gura fira.
