This is a portrait of Jannat Ara, a Rohingya embroidery artisan for the RCMC. It was painted by Farzana Ahmed Urmi, a Bangladeshi artist-in-residence for the RCMC.

Jannat Ara is known for her swiftness in creating original artwork. She worked as a tailor in Myanmar after learning the basics from her sister. Later, she received training in embroidery from different NGOs in the camp, but she started telling stories with fabric and thread working for several storytelling projects at RCMC.
