Gotgoti is a small urn-shaped terracotta vessel, about the size of a flask, used to carry and drink water. It has a narrow, tall neck and a round base. Its small size makes it portable and easy to drink from. Because of the natural filtering and cooling properties of terracotta (the porous surface facilitates evaporation), water stays cool and tastes sweet.
