Foana fuwa mas salon is a dried croaker curry made with pumpkin. In the Rohingya language, croaker fish is called fuwa mas and pumpkin is called howri. The saltwater fish is readily available in the markets of Arakan, but dried croaker is more expensive than fresh ones because the demand for it is higher. Rohingya people grow pumpkins in their fields and gardens. This healthy vegetable is a popular food item among Rohingya.
