This is a portrait of Roshida, a Rohingya embroidery artisan for the RCMC. It was painted by Farzana Ahmed Urmi, a Bangladeshi artist-in-residence for the RCMC.

Roshida is an embroidery artisan with years of experience in textile work from her teenage. She believes the art of embroidery requires dedication and isolation, so she balances her household work with her husband to devote time to the tapestries and small individual pieces she made for RCMC.
