Bara is a fence made of bamboo and rope. In Rohingya fishing practices, bara refers to fence-style fish traps that are installed in rivers, ponds, lakes and paddy fields to trap fish that are washed in at high tide. Fishermen come to collect the fish after the water recedes. It usually costs 2000-3000 Myanmar Kyat ($1-2 USD).
