Description

Sorha duloin is a wooden ferris wheel operated by hand. On celebration days, such as the Eid festivals or a village football match, Rohingya children enjoy riding in ferris wheels. They are usually set up beside the Eid prayer field or the football field. This ride is especially popular in rural areas. The operator, usually the carpenter who made the duloin, is called a duloin fakkaroiya. The sorha duloin tradition is an old and beloved part of Rohingya culture. This sorha duloin is a scale miniature model.
