Dool is a traditional basket for storing dry food items, such as grain, peas, dried chili peppers and rice. It can be made in small, medium and large sizes. Dool is made from split bamboo with a cane frame, and sealed with manure to make it airtight so that air and germs cannot enter. Food can be stored for a long time in a properly made dool.
