Rayakar haansari is the chairman's house and also the village administrator’s office. It is a government-owned property, typically built out of wood, bamboo and nipa palm.
Rayakar haansaris are commonly designed in an L- pong shaped orientation and have two sections or two rooms. One part is used by the chairman and the other part is used to provide for the administrative needs of the community. Small local level disputes may also be heard here. There is one rayakar haansari in every hamlet.
