Goitta dula is an urn-shaped basket used by Rohingya fishermen to store and carry fresh fish. The neck of the basket is narrow to prevent the fish from jumping out. Goitta dula can be worn on the back like a backpack for easy transport. Rohingya fishermen believe that bamboo, as a natural material, keeps the fish fresh.
