Description
The Rohingya community enjoy eating a lot of fish. In Myanmar, the men would catch fish from ponds and rivers and bring them home for the women to cook with traditional herbs and spices. At the camp, they still eat fish but since it is not freshly caught like it was in Myanmar the taste is different. This project helped the women recall the fish they used to eat in Myanmar. Hosne Ara drew a faisha maas (gangetic hairfin anchovy). She loves this fish but it tasted better when she used to eat it in Myanmar.
