Mokka gula is boiled corn on the cob, usually eaten with a sprinkle of salt and turmeric. During winter, this is served as a snack when friends or family make conversation. Rohingya farmers grow corn in fields and on the hills of Arakan. Fresh corn is also readily available in the market and in farm stalls.
