This is a portrait of Rokeya, a Rohingya embroidery artisan for the RCMC. It was painted by Farzana Ahmed Urmi, a Bangladeshi artist-in-residence for the RCMC.

Rokeya learnt the art of fultola (embroidery) at a UNHCR office in Arakan. In Arakan, she sold handmade pillow covers and scarves as well as taught her friends the craft of fultola. After coming to the camp, Rokeya joined the RCMC embroidery group where she learnt to draw houses, furniture, among other new things.
