Basketry

Turoung is a deep, trumpet-shaped basket for packing and transporting vegetables and other items over long distances, especially in the mountains. It is typically about three feet in length, and one foot in width, but the size can vary based on need. Turoung has a wide neck and narrow body, like an upside-down trumpet. It is carried on the back with the tumpline strapped to the forehead.
