Fojorete Asoth Ali (Asoth Ali’s Death) is a Zari song, performed in the Rohingya camps for the RCMC by Rohingya musician Abdul Majid.

Zari songs are mournful songs. In this they are similar to Taranas, but while Taranas deal with contemporary events, Zaris deal with sad events from the distant past. For example, the story of Hassan and Hossein and the events at Karbala in the 6th Century are very popular with Rohingya singers.
