Potter

Nironjon Rudro is a potter famously known as the ‘Goddess maker’ in Arakan, for his ability to intricately sculpt clay idols. Here in the refugee camps, Nironjon also plays the role of a purohit or priest at a temple. Niranjan Rudra is Brahmin but harbours no prejudice against people of different castes or faiths; he has managed to maintain a good relationship with Muslim Rohingyas, despite there being some animosity between the two communities. Niranjan Rudro has created various clay figurines and objects for the RCMC collection.
