Storyteller

Ashraf Mia is a storyteller, famously known as a futhi reader who receives joy from telling ancient tales to those interested in listening. For over 15 years, Ashraf Mia has been practicing reading futhi,which is traditionally written in Bangla. In Arakan, he travelled to neighbouring villages to read his stories, or attend gatherings to which he was invited because of his storytelling. At the camp, he continues this practice and has managed to spread his love of futhi reading by teaching a few others.
