Zawkir Ahmed

Zawkir Ahmed is a potter who learnt the art of forming clay objects with his hands, guided by his brother. He also taught his wife Kulsuma Khatun and together they made various clay items like motka (water storage pot), ghora (pot to collect water from the pond), patila (a pot set on the roadside for travelers to drink from), foin (cooking pail), to sell in Arakan or sometimes exchange for paddy. Now at the camp, together the couple has made various pottery items for the RCMC collection.
