Maloti Rudro

Maloti Rudro learnt the art of pottery from her husband Shubash Rudro and father in law who was a famed potter in Arakan. Since Rohingya pottery culture requires men and women❜s hands in different parts of the process, Shubash used to turn the sark (wheel) while Maloti would complete the vessels with a set of handheld tools. She likes doing pottery because it can be made any time during the year. Although her husband has passed away leaving the duo incomplete, Maloti Rudro finds solace in still contributing to make pottery items for the RCMC collection.
